The hell that is the time between thankgiving and christmas breaks

This is the time of the season! Its time to be merry, Time to rejoice! no. not it is not. This is the time between thanksgiving and winter break. The time where the roads always blow and school is never cancelled. This what the entire highschool population in America is going through. This is the teenpocalypse. Noone wants to drag their ass out of bed at 6 in the morning and scrape ice off their car for 10 minutes in the -5 windchill morning. Clearly this must be the end. A snow day might roll in ONE TIME, YOU GET YOUR HOPES UP, MAYBE JUST MAYBE IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN! It never will. But wait! There is one hope, one glimmering light at the end of the tunnel! You see it coming, you see the great savior of your depression. It is none other than winter break. 10 days off school. Hands down, it is the greatest thing in your life to look foward too besides the blessed warmth of summer. You think about it, you obsess about it, you plan crazy partys with your friends and most of all, you pray. You pray for the strength to take that pencil and scribble your essays, fill in your exam scansheets, and do busy work in math. Thank god, i have 4 days left till blessed salvation. So in conclusion, Dear Lord of the winter break, please bless me with your glorious break and save me from the evil retribution that is the void between breaks. Amen.

Woodsball VS. Speedball

Ahhhh the great paintball debate, what to do what to do. On one hand we have Woodsball and the other Speedball. If you are a new player just getting started, you might want to know which of the 2 to focus on and which markers work best for the particular style. Ill begin with the former. Woodsball is a sport where the key is strategy and cameoflage. Staying hidden is key and noone would dress in a bright neon color playing this. So wouldnt it make sense that you should NOT have a bright neon colored speedball marker for woodsball. You will stick out like a sore thumb. Another idea to ponder on is what marker you should buy. IF you are playing Woodsball your marker should be durable and plain in color, preferably black. So what marker covers these conditions. The Tippmann series markers. They are totally black, and are built like a rock. If you are running around in the dirt and bumping into trees, you want a marker that one break and these certainly will not. I actually ran over my Tippmann a-5 one time (stupid misteak hehe) and it was complete unharmed. These will stay ship shape no matter what.
If your goal is to play speedball then the color of marker and the way you dress is mostly irrelavent. The idea behind speedball is to bum rush the other team and stay covered as much as possible. There is no real way to hide, there is no real way stay quiet. From the start to the finish you will be firing constantly. Better have pods for this sport, that is for sure. The key is to outflank and just outshoot the other team. Make sure you have an egrip for this game type if you can afford it. It's about 100 dollars or so but you will fire full auto and it will be a godsend in speedball and woodsball.
Personally I preferr woodsball to speedball because it is the most strategic form of paintball. Outflanking and Good cover are a key to winning. Also you have to use your skill as a woodsman to find good hiding spots and to find good cover to shoot your marker. This exhilarting game is by far my favorite. Either way, its a great sport, get out there, and have fun!

The Paintball Corner Welcome!

Welcome to the Paintball Corner! I just started up this blog and wanted to just shoot a hello to everyone. The purpose of this blog is to inform the paintball community on good buys, good tactics, and good games. Now that we are rolling around that winter time where paintball can get realllly crazy fun, its nice to start up this blog. First to give an outline of whos talking to you, ill describe my paintall career. My first marker was a Tippmann 98 custom, which i bought a 12'' barrel for. This was my only mod for this particular marker, and it seemed to give me range over the other guys with the standard 9.5's. This marker lasted me up until my 2 year mark where i decided it was time to go all out. I bought the Tippmann A-5 with epic mods. It has expansion chamber, 16'' barrel, an egrip, 450 ball hopper (its massive, and its kickass), and i custom made my own foregrip to get rid of the stupid knob it comes with. Its a piece of wood in a nice comfy shape (ill have to post this later with instructions on how to make your own :) I also polished the internals of the marker with sandpaper and elbow grease. This is definately worth it and my next post will explain how. This mod gives your weapon a silky smooth action. This marker is the god of paintball. I've always loved Tippmann's for their incredidlbe duribility, and their modability, and it has served me well for years. WELLLL thats it for now. Ill catch ya'll later with my polished internals instructions.
